ADSL Under 12's Cup - Quarter Final

Both St Peters main Strikers were on fire for this lively clash against Ballinasloe , in Mc Carthy Park last Saturday.

Nathan Dolan scored his hat-trick before the half time break , and 3 great goals they were , but his third was the best of all .

After scoring his second , Ballinasloe centered the ball , their forward touched the ball but none of his team mates were alert so

Dolan took possession , looked up and spotted the 'keeper off his line . Dolan fired high in over his head and gave the

Ballinasloe stopper no chance . A great bit of skill from a great player in form.

Not only was Dolan on fire , but each of the Peters team were up for the game . They were well aware this was the Ballinasloe team

they beat in last years Under 10's Shield Final and they were out for revenge.

The mid-field trio of Ryan Conway , Patrick Toland and Thomas Rowley continued to attack and create chances for forwards

Nathan Dolan and Conor Rush.

Ryan Conway , in particular , was a constant pain in the side for Ballinasloe.

Just before the half time break an injury to Conor Rush , after a clash with the Ballinasloe 'keeper , finished his game

for him . With 3 mins to go Rush made way for fellow striker Jordan Hegarty.

Man-of-the-match - Nathan Dolan

Ballinasloe started the second-half with nothing to lose and they quickly put the pressure on Peters Defenders

Pierce Fallon , Mark Dolan and Aaron Kinsella . Town scored their first , not long after the re-start and this seemed to

give them a new found confidence to go and get something out of the game. They were playing very well and making Peters work

very hard.

When Peters did have the ball it was Brandon Greene who supplied some great crosses from the right-wing.

Jordan Hegarty got his name on the score-sheet after some great passing play , and all but killed off the game for Ballinasloe when he

scored two quick goals to make it 5-1 .

However Hegarty wasn't finished the rout yet . A cross from the left by Dean Reynolds found him on the edge of the box , with his back to goal .

After a quick turn he volleyed a shot low and hard past the Ballinasloe 'keeper and rounded off his hat-trick for the day.

Ballinasloe grabbed another late goal before the final whistle to gain some respect from the scoreline.

And so Peters march on to the semi-final of the Under 12's Cup.
